Room description
Hello!
I am advertising my fully furnished double room in Bermondsey, with ALL bills and council tax included.
The room is available from 27 December 2024 (with some flexibility if required).
The flat is a 5 minute walk from Bermondsey tube station on the Jubilee line, and has multiple bus stops in close proximity. It is an incredibly central location - you can reach the City in less than 20 minutes, or Canary Wharf in less than 10. There is a Sainsbury's and Tesco close by, multiple off licenses, and you are also walking distance from the huge Tesco Extra in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre. The flat has an east-facing balcony looking directly onto Southwark park, which is a great amenity especially in the summer months and ensures a lot of natural light all year round. You would also have Puregym Bermondsey a 5-minute walk away from you, which is a big and fully equipped gym.
The room is a well laid-out double room. It has 2 big built-in wardrobes with plenty of storage space, a sizeable desk (with more drawers and storage), and a chair so that it's very easy to work from home. The room faces east onto the park, so it gets plenty of sunlight and is quiet. All mattresses in the flat were recently replaced last year so they are new and very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and modernly redone.
The kitchen and living room is spacious, airy, and bright, with the balcony directly overlooking the park. There is a sofa, refrigerator, freezer, dining table, and dining chairs with a gas stove. Each of us has our own cupboard and there are multiple shared cabinets as well, so there is plenty of storage space. There is a TV with a license included in the rent, and our wifi has recently been upgraded as well. There is also a washer-dryer in the flat and a shared shoe rack.
The only extra cost is the cleaner who comes by every fortnight. This is charged at a very reasonable rate of £8 every two weeks.
The existing housemates are all professionals and friendly, welcoming and chilled. They are looking for someone similar.
The location of the flat is fantastic and well-connected, and despite being so central has plenty of spaces to walk and explore nature if that's what you like. The Thames is a short distance away and you can take a serene walk by the river, or explore the beautiful Rotherhithe area and even the ecological park nearby.
