Room description
Hello,
I am Cecilia and I am looking to sublet my room in a friendly house share for 6 months. I am moving out of London temporarily and we are looking for a respectful considerate flatmate to take the room for this time.
About the house
This is a really nice cozy house with a large living room (with a fireplace!) and dining area, open kitchen, a patio and a big garden with a shed if you need space for a bike. We share one bathroom and a separate toilet. There is also a small guestroom that can fit up to 2 people if you want to host friends/family.
The room available is on the first floor. It's reasonably spacious with plenty of natural light and it overlooks the garden. The room comes furnished with a bed, mattress, desk, shelves, bed side tables and a chest of draws. The communal spaces also have everything you could possibly need (including a fully equipped kitchen if you are a keen cook!).
We also have access to a beautiful allotment behind the garden (a shared communal plot where we can grow veggies, herbs etc).
Bills come to around £100 per month (including utilities, council tax, internet and a cleaner every week).
The house is right in between Dalston, Stoke Newington and Clapton, a 2 minute walk to Hackney Downs park and 5 minute walk to Stoke Newington High Street which is full of shops and restaurants.
The closest overground station is Rectory Road, but Dalston Kingsland/Junction are only 15 minutes walk away. There are lots of buses that take you to Shoreditch, Angel and central London.
About us
We are mixed bunch of international professionals who have busy lives but also enjoy chatting whilst cooking dinner and go for occasional outings to the pub or the cinema. You will be sharing with Marina, a design engineer and part time master student, Richard who works in education, and Shari, who is completing her master in Neuroscience.
They mostly work from the office but sometimes from home. In our free time, we spend time outdoor, hiking, gardening or chilling in Hackney Downs. We travel quite a bit but we also like to have friends and family over from time to time. We are friends and like to hang out as a house sometimes but we also like our own space.
We like to keep the house a tidy, clean, comfortable space and everyone does their bit to help. We do also have a cleaner who comes every week.
About you
We are looking for a nice, respectful person who cleans after themselves and takes care of communal spaces. We are looking for someone who is happy to hang out occasionally, for a dinner or a drink at the local pub. Ideally, we would also like someone who loves gardening and is willing to help out in the allotment. We would prefer someone who works from the office at least a few days a week.
The room is available from the beginning of February but there is flexibility around the moving date (both earlier and later).
We will be having viewings for the next couple of weeks.
